For over 35 years, Christos has been part of legendary weddings. Since the brand was created, the designer Christos envisioned the creation of a wedding gown as a fine art in which he wouldn’t dream of using anything but the finest fabrics, materials and ornamentation in his collection. His work was widely recognized in the industry and he was honored with Life Achievement Awards by Bridal Guide Magazine in 1996.
When Christos retired in 2005, the designer Amsale Aberra herself took over the role of creative director. Since then, the brand has only experienced ever-growing popularity. Timeless aesthetics, soft femininity and heirloom details still embody the collection but Amsale has added touches of subtle sexiness to keep the collection fresh and modern for today’s brides. She continues to employ high quality European laces, carefully pairing them with soft fabrics such as silk organza and tulle to reinforce the romantic look the brand creates, making each piece under the Christos label a couture gown.
